AC Milan coach Paulo Fonseca hopes a 4-0 win over Venezia will boost his team’s confidence ahead of crucial fixtures against Liverpool and Inter Milan.

The ‘Red and Black Devils’ secured their first win of the season over Venezia with goals from Theo Hernandez, Youssouf Fofana, Christian Pulisic (pen) and Tammy Abraham (pen) after collecting just two points from their  first three games of the season.

The Portuguese coach hopes the win will boost his confidence ahead of a big clash with Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League, followed by the Milan derby against Inter Milan.

“We have to balance everything. My approach is always to think about what’s best for the team, so if I choose not to play Rafa (Leao) and Theo (Hernandez) like I did against Lazio, they will accept it,” Fonseca said.

“They are both important players and proved UFABET today how important they are for us, but in a family you can’t always agree on everything. The important thing is to focus on what’s best for everyone.”

“To be honest, I’ve started thinking about both the games against Liverpool and Inter. I know the importance of the derby, Liverpool will be a difficult game, but I can’t deny that I’ve started studying Inter’s game as well.”

“I know how much it means to the fans. We are trying to do well in both games.”
